My extremist opponent is not done being extremist yet – instead, he’s doubling down. He wants to remove funding from Arkansas PBS because he’s spooked by the words “climate” and “change”. It is unacceptable to cut funding for PBS given he and other extremists in the legislature gave themselves and the richest Arkansans a big tax cut. Instead of expanding and broadening access to education, he wants to dumb down Arkansas. As state senator, I would propose expanding funding for public television instead of taking away existing money in their budget. Arkansans, especially those in my district, need better access to information and education, not less. I stand with PBS, educators, and scientists, and I condemn this attack on free and accessible education via PBS.
